Servers

The above pricing is based on US servers. If you would like hosting with Australian servers, please contact us for a quote.

US based server: If the majority of your clients are based in Australia, then there is a small disadvantage. The information on the website has to travel from the US to your clients in Australia, which takes slightly longer, simply because a request from a machine in Sydney may go through 5-8 "nodes" to get to a  machine on the US, where as it may only do 2-3 hops for an Australian server. For a most sites, this is no problem because the majority if Australians on the web use broadband or DSL internet connections. With the US hosting, your data will be automatically backed up once a week. To restore a back up costs $25 per restoration.

Australian based server: Australian hosting can be arranged but at additional cost. With Australian servers the information has less distance to travel. This makes a difference if you have lots of video and or animations or if you know that most of your visitors will be using dial up for their internet. Your data will be automatically backed up once a week.
