Day Dream Websites has
recently come across some new methods to increase
sales to your business. The following can be done
to your shop to make it easier for your customers
to make purchases:
Promoting your products through other websites
Day Dream Websites
recently discovered a new way that you can promote
your products which does not cost much money.
There are a number of websites where you can upload
your products and they will promote them on your
behalf:
http://au.shopping.com
(cost per click)
http://shopping.yahoo.com/
(cost per click)
http://www.google.com/products
(FREE per click)
http://shopping.ninemsn.com.au/
(cost per click)
http://www.myshopping.com.au/
(cost per click)
http://www.bizrate.com/
(cost per click)
http://www.google.co.uk/products
(FREE per click)
http://www.google.de/products
(FREE per click)
If the potential
customer wants to buy one of your products then
they click on the product and they are taken through
to your website. It is at this point that you
are charged about 15c for the click however froogle
does not charge per click. Here are some examples
of products:

There are 2 ways that you can
upload your products onto these sites
You can either:
1. (free) Upload your products one by one. If
you do it one by one- every time you want to update
a product then you will need to update it on about
8 different websites.
2. ($100) Day Dream Websites can set your shop
up so that it can talk to the other websites and
automatically upload and update the products.
Therefore all you need to do is to update your
product on your own shop and then I would go in
and tell your shop to send the updates to the
other 8 websites.
One last thing to consider
is that only 4 of those websites are Australian
which means if your shop is not set up for overseas
sales, then you can only use the 4 sites instead
of 8. To sell to overseas you need the below Automatic
Postage Calculations installed on your shop
Please contact
us if you would like to have your shop set
up so that it can talk to the other websites.
Automatic Postage calculations
for your online shop
This is a great
postage calculating system whereby the website
talks to the Australian Post website to calculate
the postage. The postage is based on the weight
of the total order and also the destination postcode.
The website customer has the opportunity to choose
either express or regular and if the customer
is outside Australia they can choose either sea
mail or air mail. This postage system saves lots
of time and hassle for the shop owner. It would
cost $100 for your shop to have this feature. See example of
Automatic Postage calculations
for your online shop.
Gift voucher system for your online shop
This is where
a visitor can purchase a gift voucher for their
friend or colleague who can then visit the site
and redeem the value of the voucher. See example.
It would cost $200 for your shop to have this
feature. See example of Gift voucher system for your online shop
Tell a friend feature
This makes it
easy for website visitors to tell their friends
about the site. This is a great way to increase
visitors to the website. See
example. It would cost $50 for your website or shop to
have this feature.
Browse by
This allows visitors
to browse products by price,
brand,
colour,
style,
season,
material,
size
The aim of this is to make is as easy as possible
for the visitor to find what they are looking
for and then purchase it. See
example. It would cost $50 for your shop to
have this feature.
No more compulsory login
If you have a
shop with DDW, your customers don't need to login
anymore to make a payment. DDW recently discovered
a way of changing your site so that your customer
has three options at checkout-
1- to checkout without logging in
2- to login
3- to become a member
This makes it
easy for your customer to purchase your products.
You may be missing out on sales if your customer
is turned off by having to become a member.
The cost of modifying your site is $300 one off
fee. To see how this works have a look at

Search Engine improvement for your
shop
DDW recently
worked out how to add more website information to
your shop's pages for search engines to read. You can see an example here:
HandbagQueen.com.au
A category description
helps for search engines as the more information
you have one your pages the better (especially
if the information contains keywords that you
want your site to be found for). For DDW to modify
your shop so that it can incorporate category
descriptions, the cost is a one off $150.
